     Victorian Gorget (B.12.C)

Victorian Gorget (B.12.C)

Victorian Gorget. This is large and heavy. The silver portion is 8 x 7 . The coat of Arms is cast brass and the brass chain appears to be original. This came from a collector who bought it in Canada many years ago. Circa 1870-1900. Is it ceremonial? or to be worn by an Honor Guard?, or what? Its too large to be worn daily. Its not a plaque or wall decoration. Were not sure of its use but it is downright spectacular.
