Mod. 1864 Cartridge Box. The front flap has the familiar embossed oval “U.S.” as well as an inspector’s oval stamp in the lower right cover (to faint to read). “W. H. Wilkinson Maker Spgfield, Mass.” is the maker mark on the inner flap. It has both tins which someone has painted silver. Complete with all buckles loops and straps. The closing tab is torn on one side of the hole but all there and easily fixed.
